About the Author
Aaron Mendelsohn is a global leader and speaker in data protection, privacy, and cybersecurity, with over 20 years of experience building and leading privacy compliance programs at large multinational organizations. He currently serves as Director – Senior Privacy Officer at the LEGO Group in Billund, Denmark, where he oversees data protection and privacy compliance across LEGO.com, LEGO Insiders, and the company’s broader digital organization.

Before joining the LEGO Group, Aaron held several leadership roles in data protection, privacy, and information security. He was responsible for creating and managing global privacy programs at two Fortune 500 companies.​

From 2018 to 2022, he designed and taught a course titled Privacy Law & Management at the Cleveland State University College of Law. The course focused on the practical application of privacy in corporate settings and served as the inspiration for this book. Many of his former students have gone on to become successful privacy professionals in Cleveland and beyond.

Aaron currently resides in Aarhus, Denmark, having relocated with his family from Cleveland, Ohio, in 2022 to take on his role at the LEGO Group.
